Feb 04, 2025 12:54PM ● By Nicole Petrus

Watertown – This Lunar New Year represents the Year of the Snake. At Zoo New York, all animals are celebrated, but this is an opportunity to shine a special light on our slithery serpents. Observation of the Lunar New Year officially begins January 29th and concludes February 12th. Zoo New York is pleased  offer a grand finale to celebrations by hosting Lunar New Year February 15th and 16th from 11- 3.

Guests will have the opportunity to interact with several of our animals, including the snakes, with the help of zookeepers. There will also be traditional Chinese crafts, candies, and games. Guests can also participate in scavenger hunts and photo ops. Admission is $12 for adults, $9 for children, and members are free.

We extend special thanks to Tao Wang and Marc Foulger, who are partnering with Zoo New York to make the event a culturally enriching experience.

We also thank Intrepid Broadcasting Inc. TUNES 92.5 & 104.5 FM for acting as this event’s sponsor. Join us as we say farewell to the Year of the Dragon and welcome the Year of the Snake at Zoo New York!
