Chelsea Suarez Honored as Employee of the Year by NYS Coalition for Children’s Behavioral Health
Dec 18, 2024 01:32PM ● By Nicole PetrusWatertown, New York (December 13, 2024) – CHJC (Children's Home of Jefferson County) proudly announces that Chelsea Suarez, Crisis Intervention Specialist in the Community School Liaison Program, has been named Employee of the Year by the NYS Coalition for Children’s Behavioral Health at their annual conference held on December 3, 2024.
In her role, Chelsea has made an extraordinary impact in just over a year, providing crisis intervention to more than 70 youth in school settings. Her unwavering dedication to supporting youth and families, developing safety plans, and connecting them to critical mental health resources has been instrumental in averting unnecessary hospitalizations and fostering hope in the community.
Chelsea is widely recognized by parents, youth, and school districts across Jefferson County for her compassion and professionalism. One parent recently praised Chelsea’s work, sharing: "Chelsea has truly impressed me with how she carries herself with us as parents and, most importantly, with our child. Employees like Chelsea are what make organizations have the biggest impact. My child is so excited to go to school today because she gets to see Chelsea!"
