CHJC and Hurlbut Family Announce the All4One Adoption Awareness Run 2024

Oct 21, 2024 04:19PM ● By Nicole Petrus

Watertown, New York (October 17, 2024) - The Children's Home of Jefferson County (CHJC), in partnership with Greg  and Jessica Hurlbut, is excited to announce that the 2024 All4One Adoption Awareness Run will kick off on Friday,  November 22, 2024, at 3:00 PM and conclude at 3:00 PM on November 23, 2024. The 24-hour relay run covers 125 miles  to raise awareness for the 125,000+ children currently waiting to be adopted in the United States.

The All4One Adoption Awareness Run was originally started by Jessica Hurlbut in 2018 when she ran 110 miles to represent  the 110,000 children then waiting for adoption. Over the years, the run has transformed into a relay where participants can  sign up to run one or more legs of the 125-mile route. The relay begins in Massena and passes through several towns,  including Hogansburg, North Lawrence, Brasher Falls, Potsdam, Canton, Ogdensburg, Waddington, and back to Massena.

Immediately following the Adoption Awareness Run, there will be a Foster Parent/Adoptive Parent Celebration at the  New Testament Church, 265 Andrews Street, Massena, NY. The celebration is open to the public and will honor families  who have helped change the lives of children through foster care and adoption. All are welcome to attend and show their  support.

“Every child deserves a champion — an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection  and insists that they become the best they can possibly be,” Rita F. Pierson, Educator and Speaker.

CHJC and the Hurlbut family are looking forward to another wonderful event and encourage everyone to get involved by  running, attending the celebration, or simply spreading the word.
